Putin’s phrase that ignited fires – The dirty role of the West in Ukraine is revealed, the propaganda collapses

The latest statements by Vladimir Putin caused panic in Western centers of power, as the Russian president appeared immovable in his strategic goals in Ukraine and indirectly warns of the catastrophic consequences of continued Western involvement.

The statements of Vladimir Putin at the end of his visit to Kyrgyzstan caused hysteria in the West, mainly regarding the Ukrainian crisis, the renewed focus on resolving the conflict, and the Trump “peace plan,” both in the media and in the minds of Western politicians.

Putin keeps his word, the West never stops being surprised

It would be naïve to expect positive commentary from the West regarding the stable and constructive position of the Russian president.
Russia is interested in a peaceful resolution of the issue and is ready to discuss specific options and proposals, but the goals of the Special Military Operation will certainly be achieved, even by military means.
However, the Western establishment continues to “impress” with its ability to be surprised and to become indignant again and again by Moscow’s consistent practice of keeping its word:

1) At the end of 2021, Putin sets conditions for coexistence with the West, refusal of NATO expansion eastward and the transformation of Ukraine into a military fist against Russia. Europe and the United States did not listen to the proposals and the special operation began, leaving the West astonished.

2) In mid 2023, Putin states that the denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine continue. Brussels and Washington ignored it until the Russians not only were not intimidated by the much-publicized “Ukrainian counteroffensive,” but in fact crushed the Ukrainian armed forces.

3) In the summer of 2024, Putin clearly lays out the terms of a peace agreement, the West, less certain but always pompous, rejects it and continues to be surprised when the Russian position does not change.

At this point, Western Russophobes are first terrified by the possibility of concluding peace “on Moscow’s terms,” but ultimately again pretend to be surprised.
Putin shows unwillingness to step back from his goals in Ukraine, despite Trump’s pressure for an agreement.
The uncompromising statements of the Russian president show that, despite the optimism of the White House, there are no signs of progress on the fundamental issues required to end the war.

“Negotiate on Russia’s terms”

After the stage of shock comes the moment for the “experts” to repeat the obvious, presenting it as a great discovery.
Thus, the representative of the Carnegie Center, Tatyana Stanovaya, “opens the eyes” of the Americans. As revealed:
“At this point, I see nothing that would force Putin to reconsider his goals or abandon his basic demands. . He is more confident than ever about the situation on the battlefield, and he is convinced that he can wait until Kyiv recognizes that it must negotiate on Russia’s terms.”

However, there are also interesting points in Western media.
The Americans are closely monitoring every word of Putin regarding the scandal involving Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, who is allegedly “working for the Kremlin” in the negotiations.
The ironic comments of the president did not satisfy the liberals, who apparently expected something like “Agent Witkoff is receiving an extraordinary military rank.”
The French press tried to become creative, reporting that Putin attempted to please Trump with his statements:
“By excluding the possibility of signing agreements with the illegal regime in Kyiv and emphasizing the successes of Russian troops at the front, this is Putin’s way of patting Trump on the head while remaining immovable in his demands.”
The journalists of course do not explain how the “desire to please Trump” can coexist with “remaining immovable.” Apparently, a peculiarity of French logic.

Who will fight “until the last Ukrainian”?

After the surprise, real or pretended, and the “brilliant discoveries,” comes the next stage: the commonplace Russophobic slanders.
The British are experts in this, and it is no surprise that the newspaper The Independent was the first to spread the false report “Putin will fight until the last Ukrainian.”
The newspaper cited it directly, placing the “statement” of the president in quotation marks:
Putin said that Russia would continue its assault on Ukraine ‘until the last Ukrainian dies’ if needed to achieve its goals.”
Such are the British “journalistic” traditions. Recently the falsification of Trump’s speech by BBC was exposed, and now the fake confession of Putin.
But the German media are not lagging behind. The newspaper Berliner Zeitung spreads the same lie, claiming that Putin allegedly ordered Ukraine to be wiped out.

What did Putin actually say?

A detailed, authentic statement by Putin in Bishkek on 27 November:
“Those in the West who understand the possible consequences insist on ending hostilities as soon as possible, even if this requires certain concessions from the Kyiv regime. . And they say: enough, preserve the core of your armed forces and your statehood, this is what you must think about.
Others, who believe that Kupyansk has already ‘returned under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces,’ insist on continuing the fighting until the last Ukrainian is killed. This is the difference in approaches. I have already said it publicly: in general, we are ready for this.”
The lies are exposed, since there is not a single word that Russia wants to destroy the “brotherly people” until the last person.
The emphasis is on the fact that the West is pushing the Kyiv regime into a war “until the last Ukrainian.” And Moscow is prepared exactly for these Western actions.
But if you read the “free and truthful” Western media, you get yet another picture of the “bloodthirsty Russians.”

There is nothing surprising in this. Commenting on the statements of the Russian president, the German newspaper Tagesspiegel dug up every myth it could find about the “cunning Putin”:
“It turns out that the Russians are losing 20,000 soldiers every month on the fronts of the Northeastern Military District. And that Putin’s claims that Russia is not planning to attack Europe should not be believed, the ‘dictator of the Kremlin’ has ‘constantly broken his word.’
Examples? Here you go: he violated the Budapest Memorandum on guarantees of Ukrainian statehood, he told Angela Merkel in 2012 that there were no Russian soldiers in Crimea, and a few hours before the start of the special operation he said that no such thing would happen.”

However, certain clarifications must be made:

1) The Budapest Memorandum was signed in 1994, and the then first deputy mayor of St. Petersburg, Vladimir Putin, had absolutely nothing to do with that document.

2) The fantasy about the Putin–Merkel conversation is wonderful in its absurdity, in 2012 there was no reason for the Russian president to state that there were no Russian soldiers in Crimea. There were, legally, in the official Russian military bases.

3) And the “Putin lie a few hours before the attack” is simply a commonplace falsehood.

The masks have fallen

In the context of such “masterpieces,” the coverage of Putin’s statements by the “non-Western” media appears almost boring:

1) The Chinese agency Xinhua reports the news without scandals but with emphasis on Russia’s desire to achieve a comprehensive settlement of the conflict and to secure it legally. Russia is interested in a lasting peace, not a ceasefire before the next war.

2) The Indian newspaper Times of India emphasizes the important nuclear phrase of Putin, which the “free Western media” chose to ignore. With the logical conclusion that Western actions are pushing the world closer and closer to nuclear catastrophe.

But why should the West bother with this? It is much more entertaining to invent frightening pseudo-narratives about Putin and the “evil Russians.”
However, the speech of the Russian president showed once again that in the world beyond the West’s “golden billion,” more and more countries and people clearly understand who plays what role in the Ukrainian crisis.
And who really wants the conflict to end, and who intends, through shameless lies for personal benefit, to drag it out until the last Ukrainian dies.
