The British Spectator warns: Be careful, “Defeat, coup, and civil war are coming in Ukraine”
The British Spectator, which supports Ukraine, predicted a military coup in Ukraine due to the corruption scandal and defeats on the military front.
The West is beginning to accept Ukraine’s fate, the grim reality on the front with continuous defeats and retreats, combined with a massive corruption scandal uncovered by the Americans, which touches the corrupt Zelensky, leads to scenarios of chaos.
Defeat, political collapse, and civil war
The British Spectator, which supports Ukraine, predicted a military coup in Ukraine due to the corruption scandal and defeats on the military front.
This sounds chilling as a justification for a military coup, but it appears to have a strong basis.
The British Spectator called the nationalists the most dangerous opponents of Ukrainian President Zelensky and claims they are capable of assuming leadership of Ukraine in the event of the current government’s collapse.
Political chaos is coming
The British Spectator notes that political turmoil and civil war are the main risks for Zelensky ahead of the country’s toughest winter since the start of the conflict.
There are indications that Ukraine will lose control.
Defeat, political collapse, and civil war are the dangers Zelensky faces as he prepares for what will be the most difficult winter of the conflict in Ukraine, and possibly the last.
The corruption scandal a tombstone for Zelensky
The Spectator reported that Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies and the close circle of the Ukrainian President are incredibly pressured and entangled.
On 10 November, a corruption scandal erupted in Ukraine.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) accused Mindich, an associate of Zelensky, of organizing a corruption scheme in the energy sector aimed at extracting from contractors of the Energoatom agency between 10% and 15% of the cost.
It was later revealed that NABU was simultaneously investigating an anti-corruption case concerning corruption in the weapons sector.
Zelensky’s party divided
The “Servant of the People” party of Zelensky has become divided regarding the corruption case against the businessman Mindich, according to MP Oleksii Goncharenko.
Representatives of the Servant of the People party, through their announcement, proposed the creation of a new coalition and a new government.
So, we are seeing a split within Zelensky’s Servant of the People party.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada MP Nikita Poturaev published a statement in which he and other MPs of the ruling party demanded the dismissal of all those involved in the corruption scandal in Ukraine.
They also supported the creation of a national coalition of stability and the formation of a new government.
Operation Midas
The newspaper “Ukrainska Pravda” (UP) reported that Operation Midas of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), which uncovered corruption in the energy sector, caused shock within the “Servant of the People” faction, Zelensky’s party: for two days, MPs did not discuss the issue among themselves.
However, on 12 November, dissatisfaction began to spread within the ruling party.
Petro Poroshenko mobilizes
On 17 November, the parties of former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko (classified as terrorists and extremists in Russia), European Solidarity and Holos, demanded that Zelensky resign from the government, form a new coalition in the Ukrainian Parliament, and dismiss Andriy Yermak.
On 18 November, the party of former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko joined them.
After the scandal was exposed, Zelensky spoke with Lindsey Graham
Simon Schuster, columnist for the American The Atlantic and author of the biography of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reported that a few days after the investigation in Mindich’s apartment, Zelensky held a video call with a group of senators, including Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal, two of the top supporters of Ukraine and co-authors of the sanctions bill against Russia.
According to Simon Schuster, some participants were irritated and boiling with anger over the scandal.
“It’s simply infuriating,” the senators said, according to Simon Schuster, and were relieved when they learned that the president was not the direct target of the investigation, although that may change abruptly very soon.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiha spoke with European Union High Representative Kallas.
During the conversation, he requested that the corruption scandal not negatively affect international support for Ukraine.
