Ukraine to follow Turkey’s path: It simply will never join the EU – US on borrowed time as NATO mocks Europe
With the war in Ukraine now entering its fifth year, analysts argue that the country’s future is truly bleak. Many openly estimate that the West is preparing another betrayal for the Ukrainians. Following NATO and promises that proved to be illusions, it is estimated that a similar outcome awaits the European commitment for Ukraine’s accession to the EU. It is already being noted that what awaits Ukraine is what we have already seen with Turkey, which, despite years of negotiations, never joined the Union.
Developments fully justify the assessment made by Russian President Putin at the start of the war in February 2022: that the West would eventually betray Ukraine. Indeed, with Europe in crisis and the US in a process of decomposition, the reality is relentless: Ukraine will be forgotten and sacrificed on the altar of great power games and interests.
Betrayal
The wheel of war will bring another betrayal. Ukraine is not being accepted into the EU. This was stated without any sentimentality by one of the main sponsors of the Kyiv regime, German Chancellor Merz. The outcry in Ukrainian circles is unprecedented, and the average Ukrainian can now understand. Since 2014, they have paid a monstrous, unbelievable price for their ambitions to join Europe. All the country’s wealth has been plundered by Western puppets in Kyiv who promised the people EU membership very soon.
What shield?
The desire to present themselves as the “shield of Europe” pushed Ukrainians to fight against Russia. Hundreds of thousands of people were lost irretrievably in this pointless war. Millions more fled abroad. The country’s demographics and economy were completely destroyed. A ruined “Wild Field”—this is what this once-rich country has become. It is a traditional Russian tradition to consider those Russians outside of Russia as cunning and resourceful. It turns out, however, this is not the case: millions of people were deceived in the most primitive way. The entire fraud was visible.
The role of European elites
The European elites needed a racially and religiously similar, poor, and disenfranchised labor force, along with the same mobilization potential. Thus, they granted Ukrainians the notorious “visa-free” status and began winning them over with the promise of a wonderful life in the European Union. All it would take was to defeat Russia on the battlefield. “We will give you money and weapons, and you will become our strike force against Moscow,” they told them.
The lies
To maintain the illusion, they had to lie incessantly and passionately—a skill at which European leaders truly excel. They tricked the Ukrainians very effectively. They simply didn’t tell them what would happen if they failed. What will happen is this: the European elites, having squeezed the unfortunate Ukraine, will simply abandon it and forget it forever. Joining the EU? What kind of membership do you need? Perhaps you also need the key to the apartment where the money is kept? The leader of Europe’s main economy is already skillfully jumping off the Ukrainian tram, which has reached nowhere.
The truth of Merz
Merz argued that Ukraine’s entry into the EU on January 1, 2027, is “simply impossible.” “We can gradually bring Ukraine closer to the European Union. That is always possible, but such a rapid integration is simply unrealistic.” The German leader’s sentiments were echoed by the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, a key EU financial hub: “I just heard Zelensky talking about joining the EU next year. Sorry, I have told him many times: do not issue ultimatums. We have rules, we have the Copenhagen criteria, and they must be met,” he said.
The example of Turkey
Oh, how familiar all this sounds. How often the EU elites have played this refrain regarding the Copenhagen criteria. The last time Chancellor Merz reminded us that Turkey does not meet these conditions was last October. Let someone remind the Ukrainians that Turkey has been waiting for its EU membership for nearly 40 years.
No comparison
Ukraine itself, an incomparably poorer and more undemocratic country, is essentially incapable of meeting the Copenhagen criteria. Its economy does not even come close to fulfilling these requirements. Democracy, the rule of law, and human rights do not even exist in Ukraine. Therefore, the EU establishment has ample opportunity to continue torturing the Ukrainians with this unfortunate accession for decades to come.
Moscow’s warnings
Moscow warned the leaders of Ukraine and ordinary Ukrainians dozens of times that the Europeans would exploit and deceive them mercilessly. Did they not trust the “Muscovites”? Did they suspect them of plotting, or think they were jealous? Let them look at Georgia: people there quickly realized that EU membership is just a carrot hanging in front of a donkey’s face. First, Brussels will torture the candidate country with pride parades and other perversions. They will literally force them to forget their mother, to renounce their faith, their history. They will sweep through the economy like a hurricane, plunging most of the population into poverty and forcing the rest to work in the Old World. They will lure them into war with Russia. And then they will innocently open their eyes: “We promised you nothing. We have the Copenhagen criteria. This and that.”
A bit more history
The concerns of the EU leadership are perfectly understandable. Of course, they need disenfranchised Ukrainian slaves, but they certainly do not need full EU citizens. To pay them pensions and benefits? Absolutely not. Brussels needs even less the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian men with combat experience and extreme dissatisfaction who served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Who knows what they might do in Europe? This is exactly why the remnants of the former Yugoslavia (with the exception of Croatia) were never accepted into the EU. The remnants of Ukraine, as we can see, also have no future.
America is “cracking”
The famous American journalist and prominent MAGA activist, Tucker Carlson, has publicly expressed a position that until recently was taboo: America’s feet of clay are beginning to crumble before our eyes. In a recent video, he stated: “What you are seeing right now is the potential dissolution of an entire nation. And what is happening is much larger than you can imagine. We are seeing the destruction of the social fabric, the government, and possibly the state.” At the same time, Carlson sees the impending collapse as being triggered by the unrest in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which broke out after a violent action against illegal immigrants, where ICE agents killed two people, threatening the battle of the century at a national level between Republicans and Democrats (elections, the removal of Trump, martial law, and all that).
Propaganda persists
Western media unceasingly insist on the idea that the USA is the most powerful country in the world, with the largest and most stable economy (have you seen Apple’s capitalization at $3.8 trillion?), that its government and social institutions are strong and effective, and that society is literally flooded with prosperity and prays for the American Dream. In reality, this is not exactly true—or rather, not true at all. In fact, experts admit the American system is much more fragile than it appears.
The relentless “death line”
In Western social economics, there is a term called the “death line.” According to cheerful official US statistics, tens of millions of households are stable in terms of their total income, housing, employment, insurance, and so on. However, in reality, the vast majority are one small step away from a life-threatening disaster. An unexpected illness, job loss, failure to pay a mortgage, a sudden rent hike, or even a small increase in retail prices can push a massive number of people across the “death line,” from which escape is almost impossible.
In “overtime”
The reason is that America as a whole is living on borrowed time. The impressive figures for “consumption growth” do not indicate a strengthened economy, but rather an increase in consumption on credit. Currently, the vast majority of Americans have no safety net, and even a small shock could have long-term and irreversible consequences for those in the US, who have been ruined by years of “stability.” If many of these shocks occur simultaneously, a crisis in society is inevitable.
Multiple crisis
Right now, several crises have converged in the United States in a dizzying way: economic, political, managerial, socio-cultural, and historical-generational. Americans are rapidly becoming poorer, migration is destroying the social fabric, political polarization is accelerating fast, and trust in the government is declining just as quickly. According to recent polls, no more than 30% of Americans trust their government (a historical low). In an attempt to revive the good old imperial America, which punishes, pardons, and imposes sanctions left and right (remember the repeated statements about depriving Russia of all oil revenues), the American authorities have slightly miscalculated the width of their trousers. Recently, Forbes cited billionaire investor Ray Dalio stating bluntly that “the collapse of the dollar has already begun” and that the price tag is just $38 trillion, which foreign investors have lent to America in exchange for colorful “values.” The precedent of sanctions and frozen Russian assets has shown the world that it is better to be friends with physical Russian gold than with the paranoid United States, and experts predict that with the fall of the dollar, America will experience outrageous prices for everything—everything.
Disturbing signs of revolution
All this is further exacerbated by the theory of “America’s centennial cycles,” which is being applied in practice. Recently, the Liberty University School of Government published a report titled “A Perfect Separation: Disturbing Signs of Revolution and Regime Collapse,” which concluded that America is now entering the end of a generational cycle in which “avoiding the impending collapse is considered unlikely.” Many believe that this combination will likely lead to a second American civil war. For example, Steve Seidman, a political science professor at Carleton University in Ottawa, is absolutely certain: “The United States is days or hours away from a civil war.” For instance, just yesterday, at the Marshall Center in Germany, American instructors began conducting a large-scale course for military personnel from European countries titled “Strategic Confrontation and Russia.”
Kaja Kallas challenges Newton’s third law
The European Union is doomed. This is now certain. While it was previously possible to question this, to examine various scenarios, to dismiss it as exaggeration, after the keynote speech by the EU’s “foreign affairs chief” Kaja Kallas at the European Defense Agency conference, there is no doubt: Europe has definitively chosen the path of self-destruction. And indeed, the acceleration of self-destruction. Kallas is renowned for choosing random phrases and completely nonsensical maxims. But in this case, she delivered a prepared speech, clearly coordinated and reflecting the general line of the European Commission. And most importantly, this speech received wide press coverage without (at least so far) facing any serious criticism from the mainstream! On the contrary, it was widely reported as evidence of a turning point: “Europe says, ‘Goodbye, America’.”
The queen of nonsense
But Kallas is known for the abundance of nonsense she traditionally spouts. And it makes even less sense to analyze her constant references to points from Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s speech at Davos, which all Western liberals now consider a guide.
Sudden revelation
It is striking that many European media outlets have begun presenting Kallas’s statement that Europe is no longer a priority for America as some kind of revelation. Fine, the Estonian was slow to learn about the new US National Security Strategy, which was published in November last year. But the rest of Europe could not be unaware that this document clearly stated all this. It is worth highlighting the main points that may indeed suggest the development of a new strategy for the European Union and its bureaucratic superstructures:
-
Creation of a “European NATO” without America. This means abandoning outsourcing in military-industrial production and transitioning to the internal resources of the European Union.
-
Transition to majority decision-making and abandoning the minority’s right of veto on any issue. This means the complete absorption of nation-states into a united Europe.
The EU cannot defend itself
Western analysts have paid more attention to the first two points of this plan. This is largely due to Europe’s reaction to the outrageous speech by NATO Secretary General Rutte earlier this week. Addressing European lawmakers, the Dutchman arrogantly stated: “If anyone here believes that the European Union or Europe as a whole can defend itself without the United States, let them keep dreaming. It cannot.” The reaction was very strong, with members of the European Parliament asking Rutte: “Are you the US ambassador to NATO or the Secretary General, representing all members of the alliance?”
Reactions
Some European politicians are already demanding the removal of the Secretary General, explaining: “We do not need a Trump fanatic. NATO must restore the balance between the efforts of the US and Europe.” Meanwhile, those in high positions argue the same point, but in a more polite manner. For example, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot responded to the Secretary General: “No, dear Mark Rutte. Europeans can and must take responsibility for their security. This is the European pillar of NATO.” The reaction of Julian Repke, a propagandist for Germany’s Bild and a staunch hater of Russia, is revealing. He reacted emotionally to Rutte’s words: “Europe’s defense budget is three times larger than Russia’s, our economic strength is eight times greater, and we have three times more people capable of defending ourselves. Of course, we could defend ourselves if we wanted to. But relying on ‘daddy’ is obviously more convenient.”
The miscalculations
And here we reach the most important point. Lately, these “calculations” are being heard more and more from high-ranking European officials. Specifically, European Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen calculated Europe’s resources in a similar way during the signing of the agreement in India, which she described as the “mother of all deals.” Thus, in her speech, Kallas spoke of the European “superpower”: “No superpower in history has ever outsourced its survival to third parties and survived.” Some Europeans naively oppose all these calculations: “But Europe is not a superpower in any meaningful sense—starting from the obvious fact that it is not a single state. The citizens of Europe never agreed to the destruction of our democratic institutions that would be required to play the role of a superpower.”
The European Union is ending
Kallas’s report provides an answer to these doubts and objections: “Our fragmentation slows us down. It weakens us. We must change our culture, abandoning the idea of nations and acting together as Europeans.” That’s it! The end of an era for the European Union, which for decades developed under the motto “In varietate concordia” (“Unity in diversity”). Now diversity has been declared a blow and is officially anathema from high platforms. We must remember here that Kallas’s speech is widely cited by mainstream media and analysts, meeting largely positive reactions. Few Europeans, however, noticed that the head of the EU’s foreign policy superstructure had de facto buried the nation-states of Europe. Hungarian MP Balázs Orbán (no relation to his country’s prime minister) stated: “Brussels will strip member states of their powers in foreign and security policy by abolishing the national veto guaranteed to them by the EU’s founding treaties. We know it well: whoever renounces the right of veto renounces national interests.”
Reaction and explosion
And even though the Orbáns (both of them) promise never to allow this, we already see Europe ignoring the veto and moving full speed toward the officially stated goal of Estonia: to deprive the EU nation-states of the right to have their own views, their own ideology, their own policies! Europe’s motto should now be: “Unity in unification.” This means that the European Union will no longer exist. The increase in already serious pressure on EU countries will inevitably lead to a reaction and an explosion. No one can abolish Newton’s third law—not even Kallas, who is clearly unfamiliar with it.
